Every great story starts somewhere.
Ours started on a quiet golf course in Western Australia.
Like many families, we found ourselves spending more and more Saturday mornings on the course. Our little boy had fallen in love with golf, and before long, so had we.
It wasn't about perfect swings or keeping score.
It was about the early starts, the drive to the course, the birds waking up in the gum trees, the golf cart rides, and the little traditions that somehow became our favourite family memories.
Those moments inspired something bigger.
We couldn't find the book we were looking for.
We searched for a children's picture book that captured everything we loved about those mornings together.
Not a book about winning tournaments or becoming the next champion.
A story about slowing down.
About family.
About nature.
About spending time together.
When we couldn't find one, we decided to write it ourselves.
That story became Same Time Next Week, Dad?
The very first Little Birdie Club story.
